Here's the current production status:

  1. CSP-1 S-Presses are in stock for immediate delivery. The orders are pouring in, so we may be sold out soon. Once we're sold out again, it will likely be 3-4 months before we can build another run of these hand-made presses. The CSP-1 S-Press swages bullets from .102 to .458 diameter, up to 1.3-inch length in the 2-inch stroke mode, and serves as a high powered reloading press using its 4-inch stroke mode.   2. CSP-2 Mega Mite Press are sold out, but we are taking orders for the next production run! Call, fax, email or place your order on the secure shopping cart today! This heavy duty press is often used for reloading 50 BMG with its 6-inch stroke. It can make bullets from .172 to 25mm, and draw copper strip into cups and jackets, as well as forming copper tubing into jackets in the 3-inch stroke mode...compare it with other presses on the PRESS page.

  3. Hydro Presses. Now shipping within 30 days. The console (operator controls and top panel of the press) has been redesigned with striking artwork and layout by Greg Duval. The new tops are computer-formed from 10-gauge steel, coated with a baked-on light grey polymer finish, then over-printed with the graphics and text in easy-on-the-eyes light blue and black. The console is then covered with a clear polymer overlay (clear-coat) which is baked on to bond the layers into one monolithic unit. As always, the entire cabinet and integrated hydraulic tank is powder coat finished inside and out for protection against rust and corrosion. (Many bullet makers and weapons labs have earlier version Hydro Presses that are over 30 years old and still making bullets as well as ever.)   5. SIM-TEST ballistic test medium is in stock. We ship pallet loads of this to various government agencies, not only for bullet testing but for testing helmets, gloves, vests, any kind of trauma simulation sensor-equipped tests, and for medical research (simulates adipose and brain tissue for impact and penetration testing with hypodermic needles, radiation therapy, etc.). You can use it over and over again, unlike gellatin. It can be used at room temperature, and simply melted and recast any number of times. Very economical in the long run. Sold in aproximately 10 lb blocks or 58-60 lb cartons (weight varies a little with exact size of the blocks). Density of 1.3 gm/cc, 100% water soluable at 140-deg F. Makes bullet "wounds" that look like the real thing and act that way, not like the over-dramatic results from less resiliant clay, wet paper, wax, etc., so you get closer to real life results.

  6. The CBP-50 50-caliber bullet puller tool is NOW SHIPPING in new, stronger design! If you are looking for the ultimate bullet puller for 50 BMG ammo, this is it! The CBP-50 uses the power of your reloading press to gently remove the bullet from loaded cases without shock, impact, marring, gouging, or damage to the bullet. The tool instantly clamps a brass split collet around the bullet, with a precision machined orifice that cannot crush the bullet. You then lower the press, using the power of your press to pull the cartridge down while the bullet remains in the firm grip of the puller.

  7. PCM-2 Power Cannelure Machines are available for immediate delivery or within a short period if you need a special size or shape of cannelure. The machines are capable of being set up for either 115v 50/60hz or 220-230v 50/60 hz, and can run about 30 bullets a minute on a continuous production. These are built into the production lines at major bullet producers' plants. They can be manually fed as fast as you can push bullets into the input side, for doing rapid cannelure grooves on any bullet. The tool does require a hardened specially built wheel for each caliber, and comes with one wheel in a standard shape and caliber of your choice.

  8. HCT-1, HCT-2, and HCT-3 Cannelure, Knurling, and Bullet Grooving tools. In stock for immediate delivery. Put a factory cannelure on any bullet from .17 to .72 diameter with the same tool, no accessory parts needed! Knurl lead bullets or apply twin grease grooves with the other two models.

  9. Custom Die Orders. Setup and planning is about 90% of the time, plus just working through the older jobs. That's why, even if we may be a year or more backlogged, it only means the OLDEST job in the queue is that old, not that every single order will take that long. Sometimes we finish several very large, early orders and then are able to zoom through a large number of smaller jobs that cuts the backlog by several months, with less than a month of work. Other times, we might have just one order that happens to be the currently oldest job and also happens to be a large, experimental project that could take weeks of work all by itself, slowing down the output until it is finished. It is fairly common for us to have over a year's worth of work. Four people, over 10,000 clients, average job taking a couple of days, and normally about 300 jobs in the queue at any moment...you do the math! The only reason we are not several years behind is that we can often make 2 or 3 identical jobs while set up for the oldest one (sometimes those are much newer, but it doesn't slow the older jobs if we can double or triple the parts for some jobs with another hour's work instead of doing the entire setup again).

    Predicting delivery is an impossible task when almost everything is custom built. The best way to get quicker delivery is to have the order in the queue as soon as you can, so there is more chance of an older job matching it. Another thing you can do is ask for delivery as completed. What that means is we will ship complete, workable caliber sets together rather than hold up the entire order until the last part is done. You can then get started setting up, learning how to use equipment, making at least one of the calibers or shapes you ordered, and we can ship the other items as they are done. (We don't usually ship items that you couldn't use without some other item, for instance. If you ordered a 224 die set and a 308 die set, we wouldn't ship just part of the 224 set, but would make sure it was a complete working package.)

    We do have some time available on weekends to do rush overtime jobs. If your order needs to be completed within 30 days or less, guaranteed delivery, and the time of year is such that we are not shut down for the holidays or have other issues with enough people to do the work, then it can be done on the weekend with an overtime crew for 2x the regular 40-hour work week price. It won't put anyone else behind, or put you ahead of anyone in the normal queue. It will put your order out of the queue, and into a time slot that isn't part of the 40 hour work week.

    That costs twice as much as doing it in its normal turn, because we must pay overtime rate and pay state and federal taxes based on that rate, plus pay additional shop overhead costs for running an extra couple of days. Dies are primarily the cost of labor and shop overhead, since the material cost isn't great in a swage die. This is where the 2x standard price comes in. It is just what it costs extra to do it out of sequence on overtime. It doesn't change what the company makes. The extra all goes to the die-makers who give up their family time to do a specific job when they would otherwise be home, and to the government for giving up...well, I'm not sure exactly what they give up, but I'm sure it is worth every cent.



  10. Bullet Jackets. We have stock on hand of benchrest quality .224 and .243 bullet jackets. We've begun packaging same press run, same lot number jackets in bulk cartons at a discount price. Look for catalog number J-22-BOX and J-6m-BOX for the discounted quantity packaging. Our 30 caliber jackets are in very short supply and we have to restrict sales at this time. Eventually we hope to have additional inventory but for the time being, we're unable to provide volume packaging on the 308 VB jackets. Copper is not a bad investment! It never seems to drop in price over the long run (just periodic fluctuations on its way up). With more power generation and consumption, more automobiles, more appliances, and other modern products being used in the world every year, the use of copper just keeps going up. The only metal that conducts electricity or heat better and is reasonably available is silver!
