Tighten and loosen locking rings on 7/8-14 reloading dies instantly without tools!
The Corbin Die-Loctm lock ring uses a neoprene O-ring in a precision machined groove between two thin knurled rings. Hold one while turning the other to cause them to lock tightly on the die. Hold one and turn the other the opposite direction to instantly unlock their snug grip on the die.
The Corbin Die-Loctm lock ring comes standard on all FPH-1-S floating punch holders and Corbin Pro-Swage and -R reloading dies, as well as both type -R and type -S jacket and bullet draw dies (JRD-1-R, JRD-1-S, BRD-1-R, and BRD-1-S). The thin knurled rings fit in tight spaces such as the turret head of progressive loading presses, where conventional set-screw lock rings can be difficult to adjust. No marks are made on the threads of the dies, since there is no set screw. The locking action takes place as the two rings apply force to compress a neoprene O-ring set into a machined groove in the face of one ring.
The lock rings are machined from high strength aluminum, knurled and chemically passivated for corrosion resistance with a chromate treatment. The neoprene O-rings last for thousands of lock and unlock operations, but are easily replaceable with rings having standard round cross section geometry (also available from Corbin).
Die-Loctm quick-acting lock rings are available in single quantity or in bulk packaging for resale. Individual sets are $8. Contact Corbin sales for details.
